केरल में भारी बारिश और बाढ़ से 300 से अधिक लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है. वहां हालात बदत्तर है. ऐसे में फिल्मी सितारों से लेकर क्रिकेटर तक देश के लोगों से आगे आकर मदद करने की अपील कर रहे हैं.
भारतीय टीम के युवा विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज संजू सैमसन ने बाढ़ से प्रभावित लोगों के लिए 15 लाख रुपए की मदद की है. इसके साथ उन्होंने अन्य लोगों से पीड़ितों की मदद करने की अपील भी की है.
इस दौरान संजू ने यह भी कहा कि “मैं इस तरह का दिखावा कभी नहीं करता, लेकिन इस बार यह सब सामने आकर बताना पड़ा. ताकि और भी लोग मदद के लिए आगे आयें.”
मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स की माने तो सैमसन के पिता विश्वनाथ और भाई सैली सैमसन ने मुख्यमंत्री पिनारई विजयन से मिलकर उन्हें चेक सौंपा. संजू फिलहाल भारत ए टीम के साथ क्वाड्रैंगुलर सीरीज के लिए विजयवाड़ा में हैं. गौरतलब है कि बारिश की वजह से 17 और 18 अगस्त को होने वाले सीरीज के पहले दो मैच रद्द कर दिए गए हैं.
सैमसन ने अपने फेसबुक अकाउंट पर केरल में बाढ़ के हालात को लेकर चिंता व्यक्त की. उन्होंने फेसबुक पर लोगों से सीएम रिलीफ फंड में दान करने की अपील की है.
उन्होंने सीएम रिलीफ फंड के लिंक को फेसबुक पर टैग करते हुए लिखा कि “यह वक्त है, जब लोगों को मदद के लिए आगे आना चाहिए.”
उन्होंने आगे लिखा कि “मेरे जैसे लोगों को ही ये करना होगा और जनता को बताना होगा. मुझे लगता है कि मेरे ऐसा करने से और लोग आगे आकर बाढ़ पीड़ितों की मदद करेंगे. मेरा मानना है कि ये मेरा कर्तव्य है कि आगे आएं और परेशान लोगों की मदद करें.”
