आक्रामक बल्लेबाज ग्लेन मैक्सवेल (46 ), क्रिस लिन (37) और हरफनमौला मार्कस स्टोइनिस (नाबाद 33) की बेहतरीन पारियों की मदद से ऑस्ट्रेलिया की टीम आज यहां पहले टी20 मुकाबले में टीम इंडिया के खिलाफ निर्धारित 17 ओवर में 4 विकेट पर 158 रन बनाने में सफल हो गई. बारिश के कारण भारत का स्कोर पुनर्निर्धारित करके 17 ओवर में 174 रन का किया गया और ओवरों की संख्या 17-17 कर दी गई.
भारत के के मिडिल ऑर्डर बल्लेबाजों ने किया शानदार प्रदर्शन
175 रन के स्कोर का पीछा करते हुए भारत की शुरुआत कुछ ख़ास नही रही. टीम के सलामी बल्लेबाज़ रोहित शर्मा सिर्फ 7 रन बना के आउट हो गए. उनके आउट होने के बाद धवन और राहुल ने टीम के स्कोर को आगे बढ़ाया.
इस दौरान धवन ने अपनी फिफ्टी पूरी की और राहुल भी सिर्फ 13 रन बना के आउट हो गए. उनके आउट होने के बाद बल्लेबाजी करने कप्तान कोहली आए. कोहली कुछ ख़ास नही कर सके और सिर्फ 4 रन बना के आउट हो गए.
अंत में कार्तिक और पन्त ने टीम को जीत दिलाने की कोशिश, लेकिन वो जीत नही दिला पाए,
